The Creed of Christ

In Luke 14:26-27, Jesus speaks of the high honor and sacred trust of following Him. He says, "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple."

These words may seem harsh at first, but they reveal the depth of commitment required to follow Christ. Jesus is calling us to love Him above all else and to be willing to carry our cross, which represents the sacrifices and challenges we may face as His disciples.
